- Standalone -> ME (Mobility Express) -> EWC (Ebbedded Wireless Controller)
1. 사전 준비
- 9100 시리즈 AP , EWC 이미지, TFTP 서버, 콘솔.
- C9105 및 WiFi6E AP 는 지원되지 않음.
2. 제약사항.
- Gig 0 인터페이스 트렁크 구성 안됨.
- SVI 인터페이스 지원되지 않음.
- Wireless MGMT 인터페이스 Gig 0 only
- 모든 트래픽은 Gig 0 인터페이스에서 소싱.
- 패킷 캡처 기능 수행되지 않음.
- 스니퍼 모드 AP 지원되지 않음.
- 동일한 Broadcast domain 에 다른 EWC 또는 WLC가 있으면, EWC 이미지가 부팅되지 않음.
- 혼합 AP 모델이 있을경우 EWC 변환 및 업그레이드에 필요한 TFTP 서버가 필요.
3. AP의 factory default
- 전원 제거 -> Mode 버튼을 누른채로 전원 인가 -> 15~20초 후 버튼 릴리스.
4. EWC 이미지 구성.
- EWC.bin (C9800-AP-iosxe-wlc.bin) , AP 이미지(ap1g7), Readme.txt
- AP 모델별 이미지 리스트
- C9000 시리즈 AP에서만 EWC가 동작하며, 다른 AP모델은 EWC 조인만 가능.

8. 프로비저닝 SSID 접속
- AP가 EWC모드에서 리부팅 이후 MAC 주소의 마지막 숫자로 끝나는 프로비저닝 SSID 브로드캐스트
PSK KEY 'password' 로 접속 이후 mywifi.cisco.com 으로 redirection 하여 user 'webui' passwd 'cisco' 로 연결하여 설정.
- 프로비저닝 SSID에 연결된 경우에만 동작. Day0 위저드 모드에서는 유선네트워크에서 구성불가.
- 스마트폰 앱 'Cisco Catalyst Wireless' 지원
9.EWC에서 AP 콘솔 접속 및 CAPWAP 모드로 컨버팅.
- EWC에서 AP 콘솔 접속
